Cookie Policy

This is a working draft. It describes how the service actually operates today and will be replaced by a reviewed version before the first paid account.

HempScale keeps cookies to the minimum the site needs to work and to be measured.

What is stored

Two things, both first party, neither shared with anyone:

  • hs_sid, a random session identifier, kept for 180 days, used to count visits and to see where people stop
  • A theme preference in browser local storage, so a dark or light choice survives a reload

What is not stored

No advertising cookies, no cross site trackers, no third party analytics scripts, no fingerprinting beyond the truncated IP hash described in the privacy policy.

Turning it off

Clearing cookies for hempscale.eu removes both. The site works without them; only the measurement stops.
